Postgraduate entry requirements
Please note, the requirements below are indicative only.

- Students who have passed 4 years of BA/Bcom/BSc with a score of 60% overall.

- 4 year bachelor degree with 2:2 grade or;
- 4 year bachelor degree with third class plus recognised Pre-Master qualification

- 2:2 equivalent: 4 year bachelor degree with a minimum grade of 65%
- 2:1 equivalent: 4 year bachelor degree with a minimum grade of 75%

All international students are required to provide Secure English Language Test (SELT) undertaken within the last 2 years.

- Undergraduate courses: Equivalent to IELTS 6, with no component below IELTS 5.5
- Postgraduate courses: Equivalent to IELTS 6.5 with no component below IELTS 6.00
How to apply

Before you apply for your VISA you will need to apply for your chosen course using the apply button on the course page and submitting your online application and supporting documentation.
Please note we will not process applications for applicants who have not already turned 18 years old.
You will need to provide us with the following documents:
- A completed application using the apply button on the relevant course page
- A personal statement explaining why you want to study this course and why you have chosen 丝瓜app. Please refer to individual course pages for any specific information that may also be required.
- Officially certified and translated copies of your higher school or college qualification and grades (undergraduate courses)
- Officially certified and translated copies of your degree qualification and grades (postgraduate courses)
- Officially certified copies of our Secure English Language Test (SELT)
- One academic reference on official headed paper for undergraduate course and two references for postgraduate courses.
- All applicants will be required to undertake a video credibility interview. We will be in contact with applicant directly to coordinate this.

Once you have provided all the necessary information you will be instructed to pay your deposit as per your conditional offer letter.
You must have paid a minimum of 50% of your tuition fees to be able to complete your enrolment.
If you have not paid your tuition fees in full, you have the option to pay the remaining 50% over two instalments as per the dates below.

You will also need to show evidence that you have access to maintenance funds and evidence of funds to pay your tuition fees.
If this money is held in your bank account, it will need to be held there for 28 consecutive days, and you will need to provide your most recent bank statement (no older than 1 month old).
If your course lasts 9 months or less, you’ll need to show that you have 拢1,136 per month. If your course lasts longer than 9 months, you will need to show that you have a total of at least 拢10,224.
You do not need to have the funds listed in GBP. The statement can show your funds in your home currency, but please use a to check the amount in GBP.
Using your parents’ funds
If you are using your parents’ funds, you must provide:
- Your parents鈥� bank statement showing the required funds
- Your original Birth Certificate, showing yours and your parents’ names
- A letter from your parents signed and dated confirming they are sponsoring you.
You can only use your parent’s bank account 鈥� you cannot show funds in the account of any other relatives such as grandparents or aunts and uncles or friends.
Official Financial Sponsorship
If your home government, the UK government, your university or officially recognised international company are sponsoring you, you can show an Official Financial Sponsorship Letter to cover some of your funds.
If you are not being sponsored for the full amount of living costs, you will need to show the remaining funds in your bank account. See the for more details

In order to study and live in the UK you鈥檒l need a visa. You will need to apply for this within three months of your course start date. It can be a long process, so please leave plenty of time.
To be eligible for a student visa via the Student Route, you must meet the following criteria before applying:
- Have been offered a place on a course at 丝瓜app
- Have provided all your certificates and your English Language SELT .
- Have passed the credibility interview
- Have a Confirmation of Acceptance for Study (CAS) from 丝瓜app.
- Have provided evidence (bank statements) to demonstrate you have enough money to support yourself and pay for your course (this will vary depending on your circumstances), held in your bank account for 28 consecutive days.
- Met any other conditions as outlined in our offer letter.
Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) letter
Once you have met both the academic and non-academic conditions of your offer you will be instructed to complete a CAS request form (John process).
The University will then issue you with your CAS which contains a unique number that you鈥檒l need to input on your visa application.

Please note – you are unable to work or apply for the graduate route, due to the University not having full sponsor privileges.

You will receive information about your enrolment and induction week to your email address, so please look out for this. On the day of your enrolment, you will need to bring the following information with you.

The Right to Study (RTS) check ensures we are satisfied you meet all the criteria to study in the UK, if this check is not successful, you will not be able to complete your enrolment.
You will be required to meet with the UKVI compliance support team to complete a face-to-face Right to Study check. You will need to bring the following original documents in order to pass your RTS check and complete your enrolment.

- BRP card (copies to be taken of front and back)
- CAS letter
- Academic and English documentation as detailed on xxxxxxx
- ATAS certificate (if required)

- Current passport
- CAS letter
- GOV.UK entry clearance email
- Share code (for online verification)
- UK arrival travel document e.g. flight confirmation, boarding pass

- ATAS certificate (if required)
- Under 19 welfare check paper (if required)

When you arrive in the UK, you must collect your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) as soon as possible from the collection point you selected when you made your visa application. (This section will change as we hope to have them sent direct to the University for collection)
If you BRP is not ready for collection, please bring your passport and other documents to allow us to officially register you while awaiting your BRP to be ready for collection. As soon as your BRP is ready you must bring this to the compliance support team to review and scan.

There is no longer a requirement to register with the Police. This was abolished by the Home Office on 8 August 2022.
